Weekly Roundup #50: Gassing and Ezra Miller
Happy Thanksgiving to all you gorgeous turkeys!! I don’t know about y’all, but I actually enjoy being at work this week because there’s practically no one here and it’s super quiet. Perfect for November, aka hell month. I won’t be posting next week so I can concentrate on family and friends this week. Anyone else throwing Friendsgiving (one of my absolute favorite get-togethers)? Whether you’re celebrating Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving or neither, give your friends and family some love and have a great week!

Is “Gassing” the Key to Authentic Adult Friendships? Man Repeller. I am all for this. I actually decided to take it on a test run last Wednesday and texted “Happy hump day!” plus a compliment to three close friends who all live in separate states from me. The first one to respond was so happy and it clearly brightened her day, plus it gave us a reason to have a quick catch up, which is alway appreciated. I highly recommend doing this every once in a while. Pass on the love!
Ezra Miller Is the Gender-Bending, Goat-Delivering Hollywood Star of the Future, GQ. God, he’s just beautiful. His whole look is just amazing. I saw the photo of him at the U.K. premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and immediately had to go on a Ezra-bender. I’ve liked him since I saw him in City Island in 2009 (watch it, great quirky film). Not surprisingly, I like him even more now.

Kehlani, In Full Bloom, Nylon. She is an incredible human being and talent. I had no idea she had a wellness app or that she’s only 23! I was getting a lot of Zoë Kravitz/Lisa Bonet vibes in this article.

Why I Won’t Upgrade My Phone Until It Can Turn Into a Magic Pony, The New New. I have all my old phones too—it’s crazy to compare the 4 to my current, the 7 Plus. But, I agree, I mean, not with the magic pony part, but I officially don’t care about the newest phone. I won’t be “upgrading” until my phone is officially dead and gone and there’s no hope for it. (Or I can’t get on Instagram anymore.)

Listening
Experiment, Kane Brown. His second album dropped on the 9th and I could listen to his deep, crooning voice for hours. Check out two of my favorites: “Weekend” and “Short Skirt Weather.”
Drowning, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie ft. Kodak Black.
Scared of Happy, Fifth Harmony. This came on the radio the other day and, despite it being from 2016, I guess I’d never heard it.
Watching
How to Get Away With Murder, ABC. I started watching this show way back when the first season came on Netflix, but never followed up with it. This past weekend I started it up again and, man, I forgot how good it is. I’m almost through season 2 already and I’m excited there’s still so much more to go. I also forgot how much I hate Annalise though…
Loving
Elasticizer, Philip Kingsley. After re-balayaging my hair recently, it desperately needs some TLC. Bleach is not my friend, but this treatment is.
