Weekly Roundup #5: Moms and virgins
My mom visited this week, to help my boyfriend and I fix up our new place, and, let me tell you, after multiple moves throughout my childhood, that woman knows how to decorate. She also knows how to get on my very last nerve, and vice versa. Nothing like a visit from your good ol’ future self to really get the emotions going haywire. She just walked out the door and all I want is for her to come back so we can curl up and watch Jane the Virgin while eating Thai takeout. No one will ever make me feel so much love, guilt and annoyance in the span of five minutes as her. I love her so dearly.

Watching
Jane the Virgin, The CW. My old roommates used to rave about this show, but I always pooh-pah’d it (to steal a phrase from my mother). Too “soap opera-y” for me. But, god, it pulls you in. And Gina Rodriguez is adooorable! Binge on Netflix if you're looking for an easily digestible watch.
