Weekly Roundup #3: Hogs and catfish

Weekly Roundup #3: Hogs and catfish

I visited my college town of Fayetteville, Arkansas last weekend, which is why I'm a little off on my publishing days. WOO PIG SOOIE!! No, we're not good, but it's still fun to get excited about the good ol' Hogs. It was a great trip, I got to see so many old friends and haunts, as well as see how the town as grown and still kept funky (#keepfayettevillefunky, y'all). It was also such a good trip because it reminded me how much I've grown since college. Sure, I'm still insecure and I often wish I was as cool as Zoë Kravitz, but I'm much happier. I am proud of where I am and who I am. I've learned to speak my mind more and to not rely on other's opinions of me for how I feel. College was a great time and I desperately miss my friends, especially living with or five minutes from them, but I'm so glad it's over. I'm looking toward my future with excitement.

Listening

Dirty John, Los Angeles Times. The whole time you're internally screaming at Debra, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Face, meet palm.

Eating

Sassy's Red House, Fayetteville, AR. Get the buffalo chicken wrap. Make it a panini. Heaven. Oh, and if you don't get the chili cheese dip as an app, you should question all your life decisions.

US Pizza Co., Fayetteville, AR. Oh, how I've missed this place. And their $7.50 champagne bottles before 2 p.m. This is the home of what is probably my favorite queso. Yes, queso, not cheese dip.

Drinking

Urban Trail, Bike Rack Brewing Co. I tried the golden ale from Bentonville, AR's first brewery and was not disappointed. It was low on the hops and perfectly refreshing while sipping outside on a patio.
